Founded in August 2020 by the Research Centre in Public Administration and Public Services, Bucharest University of Economic Studies.

ARAS is a peer-reviewed journal, issued 3 times in a year in electronic form.

AIMS AND SCOPE

Applied Research in Administrative Sciences (ARAS) is an international, interdisciplinary open access journal within Bucharest University of Economic Studies (https://aras.ase.ro/  ), published by ASE Publishing House. ARAS is an international journal, which advances theory, research and practice in administrative sciences.

The journal aims to provide theoretically and empirically informed analysis on social, economical and juridical issues related with the development of the field of public administration and management of public and nongovernmental sector.

ARAS was established in August 2020 and publishes original research, book reviews, case studies in the field of public administration as well as in related fields.

The journal is in electronic format, without publication fee. The international standard serial number for ARAS is 2734-5602.

ARAS is a peer-reviewed and a three-yearly professional journal providing theoretically and empirically informed analysis on public administration and public sector which cover a wide range of themes and perspectives:

  • public administration
  • public management
  • public policy
  • public affairs
  • strategic management
  • quality management
  • human resources management
  • project management
  • urban management
  • information management
  • change management
  • digital transformation
  • management of nongovernmental organizations
  • any other topic relevant to the above fields

The journal is addressed to diverse communities, including, but not limited to, academics, researchers , managers, practictioners,  master and doctoral students, anyone with a serious interest in the public administration and management of public and nongovernmental sectors.

The contributions suitable for ARAS should fall into one of the following categories:

  • Full-length research papers presenting important new findings in the field (max. 20 pages);
  • Article and book reviews in the field (2-5 pages);
  • Case studies describing new developments (max. 20 pages);
  • Academic discussion papers dealing with medium to long-term trends and predictions (max. 20 pages)

The submitted papers should be original, unpublished, and not in consideration for publication elsewhere at the time of submission to the journal.

ARAS serves a global audience including academic, researchers, practitioners, doctoral students and postgraduate students and the public at large, especially those interested in public administration, public management and related fields
